I attended the University of Washington, and lived in Seattle, WA from 1988 to 1997, when I moved to Denver
to work as a programmer. I found the programming I was doing a little dull, so I decided to go back to school.
I begain taking classes at the University of Colorado at Denver, and enrolled as a Masters student in 2000.
One thing led to another, and I ended up switching to the Ph.D. program in 2003. I received my Ph.D. in
Applied Mathematics in May of 2005, under the advisement of Mike Jacobson. I have been an Assistant Professor at UD since August of 2006. Prior to that I worked for one year
as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Lehigh Univerity in Bethlehem, PA.
