The Benbow Lab studies community and ecosystem ecology in various locations and across multiple scales.  Current projects take place in locations as such as Africa, Thailand, Hawaii, Palau and as close to home as the Little Miami River. Our work falls into four major categories that include: Disease Ecology, Tropical Watershed Ecology, Decomposition Ecology and general Aquatic Ecology.  Our goal is to integrate undergraduate and graduate studies with current, influential and collaborative research in order to further scientific understanding in these four areas.
