24 hikers attended this hike on a dingy winter day.  Hiking distance was 4.25 miles.  Temperature was fairly moderate for winter, high 30s or 40F, and there was no precipitation.  However, the trails were quite challenging for the hikers.  There was a lot of ice on various parts of the trails and there were many treacherous stream crossings on ice covered rocks.  Where there was no ice, there was often heavy mud on the trails.  There was a lot of slipping and sliding around.  Maybe because of these challenges, the hikers persevered and enjoyed completing this hike.
