10 hikers attended this hike on a day that a major Arctic front with lots of snow and frigid temperatures was expected to come through Dayton.  However, surprisingly, the arrival of the front held off during lthe hike.  Temperatures remained in the high 30's and it rained throughout the hike.  The trails were covered with ice and slush such that there was a good bit of slipping.  Maintaining balance was challenging and it greatly increased the difficulty level of the hike such that the hikers burned a lot of calories for the 4.8 mile distance traveled.  The hikers were a good group and all felt very accomplished after completing this challenging hike.
