JOURNAL OF FUNCTIONAL ANALYSIS AND APPROXIMATION THEORY

AIMS AND SCOPE

The JOURNAL OF FUNCTIONAL ANALYSIS AND APPROXIMATION THEORY is an international mathematical journal published by Global Research Publications; its aim is to publish original research papers devoted to various areas of Functional Analysis, Approximation Theory or their applications to any field of science, technology or social science. Topics included are:  General Functional Analysis, Banach and Hilbert Space Theory, Topological Vector Spaces, Banach and Topological Algebras, Harmonic Analysis, Linear Operator Theory, Fixed Point Theory, Approximation and Optimization of Functions, Theory of Best Approximation and Farthest Points, Convex Analysis, Nonlinear and Unbounded Operators, Nonsmooth and Nonconvex Analysis and Optimization, Variational Inequalities and Complementarily Problems, Differential Operators, Chaos, Fractals and Dynamical Systems, Optimal Control Theory, Wavelet and Fourier Analysis.

MANUSCRIPTS

Manuscripts should be typewritten, double spaced with sufficient margins.  The initial page should contain the title followed by the author’s name(s) and full mailing address with e-mail. The text should include only as much as is needed to provide a background for the particular material covered. Manuscripts can be submitted to the Editor-in-Chief or directly to Editorial Board Members.  Authors are requested to submit manuscripts electronically in PDF or Word 2000 format.

Every manuscript must contain a concise abstract, with no more than 250 words followed by keywords and the American Mathematical Society (AMS) 2000 mathematics subject classification number. Tables and figures should be numbered and have titles and caption. Arrange references alphabetically by the surname of the first-named author; cite the references numerically in the text. Ensure the references are quoted accurately, and use the standard abbreviations for journal names prepared by the AMS. Include in the list of references only those works cited.  Avoid citing works which are “in preparation” or “submitted .”

Acknowledgements, if any, may be placed at the end of the paper just before the references.

Reprint and Print Charges. Authors are requested to arrange page charges of their papers of US $ 15 per page from their institutions\research grants. However, for authors in India this charge is Rs. 300 per page. Twenty-five reprints of the paper and a copy of the issue of the journal are provided to the authors ex-gratis. Additional sets of reprints may be ordered at the time of proof correction.
