Tour Description:

    Upon arrival on the 18th of March at Cairo airport, guests will be met, greeted and transferred by private deluxe air-conditioned bus to either the Hilton or Shepheard hotel.  After spending the night at either of these two hotels guests will enjoy a buffet breakfast, check out of their hotel, and load their luggage onto the bus.

    An English speaking Egyptologist will escort the guests through The Egyptian Museum which is truly the Louvre of ancient Egyptian civilization. The museum is the most important depository of Egyptian antiquities anywhere in the World. It features artifacts from the Pharaonic and Greco-Roman periods, including the celebrated mummies of ancient Egypt’s Pharaohs, sarcophagi and the fabulous treasures from Tutankhamon’s tomb unearthed in 1922 by the English Archaeologist Mr. Howard Carter. In the Tutankhamon exhibit is perhaps the finest surviving bust of a Pharaoh. These treasures present a complete portrait of the burial rites and rituals of the ancient Egyptians.

    Guests will then proceed to the Pyramids of Giza. Cheops Pyramids, the largest of three, was built in the 3rd Dynasty about 2690 BC, and is one of the seven Wonders of the Ancient World. In front of the Pyramids of Chephren, we find the Sphinx carved from a single piece of stone. It is a lion with a Pharaoh’s head thought to be a portrait of the Pharaoh Chephren. 

    After the visit to the Pyramids, guests will enjoy a small lunch at a local restaurant, then start a three hour bus trip to Alexandria on Cairo-Alexandria desert road. A 15 minute stop midway will be made.

Tour Description:

   Guests are accompanied by an English-speaking guide to first visit the Greco- Roman Museum, which contains statues,  pottery, jewelry, marble pieces, and other artifacts, all of which provide  a picture of the grandeur of Alexandria in its Greek and Roman days. 

    Tour continues with a visit to the Montazah Royal Gardens overlooking the Mediterranean sea. Muntazah Complex is a 115-acre complex, surrounded by great walls from the south, east and west, and by the beach on its north side. This area used to belong to the Mohamed Ali family, who ruled Egypt from the mid 19th century until the year 1952.The construction was started in 1892 by King Abbas II, who built a large palace inside the complex called the Salamlek. In 1932, King Fouad built a larger palace and called it the Haramlek. His son, King Farouk, built a bridge to the sea to act as a water front. The rest of the 115 acres is nothing but beautiful gardens. Palm trees and gazelles cover the area. This is a wonderful spot to enjoy the beauty of Alexandria.

Located in the heart of the Attarine Antiques District, the Attarine Mosque was dedicated to Saint Athanasius in 370 and converted into a Mosque at the beginning of the Arab conquest. The Mosque sits on the site of the famous Mosque of a Thousand Columns.

• The Mosque of Abu al-Abbas al-Mursi

This beautiful mosque, with its high minaret and four domes, is Alexandria's largest and one of the most important Islamic monuments. In 1775 the Algerians built the mosque over the tomb of the thirteenth century Andalusan saint Ahmed Abu al-Abbas al-Mursi who had joined and then led the Shadhali brotherhood. The interior is made up of eight monolithic granite columns and a colonnade of elongated arches. It was rebuilt in 1943 with the domes and the towering (73 meter) minaret. It is one of Alexandria's foremost religious buildings.

Built in 1677, Terbana Mosque is one of the few remaining ancient mosques in Alexandria. It is located at the corner of Terbana Street and Suq El-Tabakheen Streets. The entrance of the mosque is a portal of bicolor bricks. On display are two enormous granite columns with Corinthian capitals, and a number of ancient columns scattered throughout the inside of the mosque. The Mehrab, a corner in the mosque that shows prayer directions to Mecca, is covered with North African style ceramics.

Tour Description: 

Guests will be accompanied by an English speaking guide to first visit the Roman amphitheater which is the only known Amphitheatre from the Roman Era in Egypt. The tour continues to the Catacombs of Kom-El-Shouqafa. These tombs are remarkable for their unusual mixture of art styles and sculptures of Egyptian gods. Guests will then visit Pompey's Pillar which is a column 98 feet high made of Aswan rose granite erected in 297 AD

The Royal Jewelry Museum
The museum is located in the Zizinia neighborhood. It was once the palace of Fatma el-Zahara and is an architectural masterpiece. Its halls contain many rare paintings, statues and decorations. An inestimable collection of jewels of the Mohamed Ali Dynasty (19th century) is also exhibited.
