THE MIAMI VALLEY CRIME PREVENTION ASSOCIATION CRIMINAL JUSTICE SCHOLARSHIP will be awarded each year to an outstanding full-time junior or senior criminal justice studies major selected by the MVCPA Scholarship Committee.
The committee will review applications and grant scholarships based on the student's financial need, a written essay, academic achievement, extracurricular activities, internships, etc. The Committee will give priority to dependants an family members of local law enforcement agency employees, however all qualified students are encouraged to apply. The decision of the Committee is final and is not
subject to review or arbitration. If the Committee does not feel there
is a suitable candidate, it may elect not to issue the scholarship.
Requirements
- Junior/Senior Class Standing
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Submit a completed Application
- Submit a most recent transcript
- Submit a typed 250-350 word essay on why you deserve scholarship funds
