INTERNSHIPS ::

"Do you feel lucky? Well, do you?"

Detective "Dirty Harry" Callahan asked that question...but you won't have to, because there's a new program: "Menterns" (Mentoring Interns) to help Criminal Justice students choose an internship experience. Menterns have "Been there, done that!" They'll work with you to help smooth your internship roadway.

Here's how the Criminal Justice Mentern program works: When you have decided to intern, you will be assigned a Mentern, a student who's been a successful intern. They've "been there, done that," and can help you get the most out of your own internship experience.Your Mentern and the Faculty Internship Coordinator will explain what interning is all about. The Mentern will answer questions about the experience and help you decide if a particular program will meet your expectations.

When you are accepted as an intern, your Mentern will continue to be available throughout the academic term. You may be more comfortable bringing questions and concerns to the Mentern than to a faculty member. Of course, serious issues and concerns should always be referred directly to the Faculty Internship Coordinator!

The Mentern program; Mentoring Interns, encourages learning, leadership, and service in keeping with the goals and heritage of The University of Dayton. It's a real "Win-Win" experience!

Now, don't you feel "Lucky?"
