Welcome to UD's Distance Learning Course Evaluation. Please use the appropriate links listed above or below to select an evaluation form. To ensure that only registered students assess a class and that each student assesses a given class only once, you will be asked to enter your student ID number and to select the course that you are evaluating. Identifying information will not be released to the instructor. The evaluation should only take a few minutes to complete. If you have problems using this Web site, please contact your instructor. He or she can tell you your student ID as it appears on the class roster. Because of the confidential nature of these evaluations, only the department chairperson and instructor are permitted to see the evaluations. Instructors do not see these evaluations until after the change of grade date for a particular term. When the University makes decisions concerning salary, retention, and promotion, a number of criteria are used. One of the most important is teaching effectiveness. Judgments about teaching effectiveness depend on the outcomes from these evaluations in addition to other measures. Because of the importance and weight the University assigns to these ratings, they should not be taken lightly. Instead, you should see this as a serious responsibility you have to other students, the faculty, and the University. Your input and comments are valuable. Comments on the course and professor and recommendations for the future can be written in the comments section of the last question, and these comments are especially useful for the faculty member, the department, and the University as a whole. Please select the term for the class you are evaluating. |
