Problem Assignment
  •  Read the syllabus , follow all the links and complete the Questionnaire by August 27th,  5:00 pm.
  • Signup for TWEN ASAP
  • Write a question you would like to discuss in class or on TWEN about the reading. The question should NOT be factual based. That is, it should not be asking for answer that can be answered with a fact but should instead be a question that will stimulate discussion about different perspective, values and assumptions. Bring the question to class.
  •  Problem: The Couple's Illness, Furrow, p. 10. Bring Copy to Class; Post on TWEN day before class at 5:00 pm.
  • LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
    • Using the teaching objectives for this course as a starting point, write  at least ten specific learning objectives for yourself for this course (The assignment should be turn in on TWEN by Sept 4, 2008)
    • Your objectives should be concrete and measurable.
      • At least two objectives for each of the four units: organization, access, quality and reform
      • At least one objective for each of the learning domains (cognitive, affective, psychomotor)
      • At least two objective related to diversity.
    • Read the following to help you write learning objectives:
    • Before writing your objectives, get an overview of the course, review the table of contents of Furrow, Randall and Shi Book;  page through each of the four units of the website.
    • Keep a copy of your learning objectives because at the end of the semester you will have to write a reflection paper which discusses how well your objectives were met.
