  • Pay careful attention to this introduction to the antitrust chapter. It introduces several basic economic concepts, such as market power and market definition, and sets forth the principal analytical techniques, namely the per se rule, the rule of reason, and the ancillary restraints doctrine, which are used in the cases throughout the chapter. Be assured that no particular background in antitrust or economics is necessary to understand these issues.
