Discover your place in the world. Welcome to the University of Dayton's International Studies Program.  Celebrating 25 years of distinquished graduates!

Why International studies?  We live in a rapidly changing world with an expanding population, limited resources, evolving technologies and social organizations. Global inter-dependence increasingly links our well-being to an ability to communicate and work effectively with people from other parts of the world, in order to develop solutions to global problems.

Why NOW?  The context in which today's students lead their professional and personal lives will be increasingly multicultural and global in scope, demanding new levels of international knowledge - knowledge of other countries, their governments, policies, history, cultures, languages and geography.

Why HERE?  The International Studies program at the University of Dayton is designed to provide students with a broad educational foundation for leadership and service in this increasingly complex global community.  International Studies is a multi-disciplinary major with core courses in anthropology, economics, history, comparative politics, philosophy, religious studies, research methods and foreign language study.  The main purpose of the curriculum is to provide students with multiple disciplinary perspectives from which to understand complex international issues.
