15 Nov 2009 – Taylorsville Metropark.  5 miles, 2 hours “B”. Take I-75 north from Dayton past I-70. Exit at US40. Travel east on US40 to dam. Note that US40 turns right (south) onto Brown School Road. Use entrance 2005 US40 at the west end of dam. Meet in the parking lot.

20 September  2009 – Caesar Creek State Park.     *****(Start at 10:00 A.M.)*****

14 miles, 4-5 hours “B”. Take 75 or 48 or 42 north or south to SR-73. Proceed east over the bridge at Caesar Creek Lake. The first street after the bridge on the right will take you to the parking lot at the 50 Springs picnic area. Park in the first parking lot on the left at the restroom. Bring a small lunch to carry in a pack.

06 September  2009 – Sugarcreek MetroPark. 4-5 miles, 2 ½ hours “C”. From I675 follow Wilmington Pike south past SR725. Continue less than a mile past SR725 to the intersection of Conference Road with Wilmington Pike. Turn left onto Conference Road. Meet in the parking lot at 4178 Conference Road.

Meet and park at the Germantown MetroPark Nature Center at 6910 Boomershine Road. Hike the backpacking trail that connects Germantown and Twin Creek MetroParks.  Bring a small lunch to carry in a pack.  Two or more automobiles will be left at the trailend in Twin Creek MetroPark to carpool hikers back to their automobiles parked at Germantown MetroPark Nature Center.

For January through March, 2009, the Metro Dayton Hikers hike schedule is the same as the Five Rivers Metro Parks, Hiking Series 2009 (Hike for the Health Of It).  All these hikes begin at 2:00 PM.  Health Hikes have flags placed along the trail so that hikers can start at different times and hike at their own pace.  However, Metro Dayton Hikers members who wish to hike together should meet at the starting point at exactly 2:00 PM.

The first street after the bridge on the right will take you to the parking lot at the 50 Springs picnic area.
