Mr. Pemper is one of the Jews who was saved by Oskar Schindler.  He actually helped prepare the list of the Jews who were spared, and also helped prepare forged documents that helped Schindler himself to escape at the end of the war.  When Spielberg was filming Schindler’s List in Krakow, Mr. Pemper traveled there to consult with him on the production of the movie.  He is now in his mid 80’s and lives in Augsburg.
