About

Mission The Language Learning Center is a "language-friendly" media and resource center that supports the acquisition of functional proficiency in foreign languages at the University of Dayton. In the LLC students can find the ideal concentration they need to attain such proficiency.

The mission of the LLC is to support the effective use of instructional technology in proficiency-competency approaches of foreign language education. The LLC promotes experimentation and innovation using new and proven pedagogical technologies.

The LLC assists the Department of Languages’ faculty in working with multimedia learning tools and integrating these resources into the foreign language classroom. It also supports students in taking advantage of the opportunities that digital technology offers in the acquisition of foreign language proficiency.

The LLC is also committed to providing the University of Dayton community with the support needed to develop their functional proficiency and acquire a deeper understanding of foreign cultures.

Location The LLC is located in HM 305 on the 3rd floor of the Jesse Philips Humanities Building.

  • Mondays through Thursdays : 9:00 am to 6:30 pm.

  • Friday:                                 9:00 am to 3:00 pm

  • Saturdays and Sundays closed
