This is a University of Dayton Humanities
Base course, addressing the theme of what it means to be human, through
study and seminar discussion of major types of religions in history, as
well as various academic theories of the origin, nature, and functions
of religion. This will include a study of major religious practices,
values, beliefs, historical development, and theological reflection, including
the Catholic tradition, a study of evolutionary stages in the development
of religion.
