Reminder:  If you are a UD student taking this course as part of the Humanities Base, you must do the four "common readings" and reading guides, and then choose five other short readings to respond to.  If you are from another college and are taking the course to satisfy a humanities requirement at your home institution and/or out of personal interest, you can choose any 9 extra readings you wish, including from among the 4 "common readings" if you like.  If you do use any of the common readings, use the reading guide assignment to report on them.
