Sarah Ford is a Music Education major from Gaithersburg, Maryland. She is a 1997 graduate of Watkins Mill High School, where she was actively involved in symphonic, jazz, pep, and pit bands, as well as theatre and varsity lacrosse. She has been playing saxophone for almost 7 years, and studies privately at U.D. with Dr. Willie L. Morris III. Sarah is a member of the Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Pride of Dayton Marching Band, and Saxophone Quartet.

Before coming to the Universtity of Dayton, Sarah had the opportunity to travel all around the world, and spent 6 years living in Asia. Though she has seen many different places and done many different things, music has always been an important part of her life, and that is why she wants to help others to understand and appreciate it. Her older brother, Jimmy studies Graphic Design at Shepherd College in West Virginia, and her younger brother Brian is a junior at Watkins Mill. Sarah's father James lives in Dhaka, Bangladesh, where he develops and directs training programs to teach underdeveloped nations about electricity. Her mother, Debbie is in Gaithersburg until Brian graduates from high school, and keeps busy as an assistant at the Montgomery Village Foundation. Sarah looks forward to the next 3 years here at the University of Dayton, and whatever may follow.
