Scott Adam Kilwein has been involved in Music from his earliest years. He enjoys playing many instruments including tenor sax, clarinet, drums, guitar, and accordian. Scott has also been known to dabble in a little singing, but simply for fun. Scott's true musical love is the piano.
Scott graduated from Upper St. Clair High School last spring. While in high school, Scott was involved in many productions. He directed the plays The Butler Did It!, Beyond the Door, and It Was a Dark and Stormy Night. As an actor/musician, Scott participated in two productions of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (1994, 1996) playing the role of the Pharaoh and acting as Musical Director. Also, Scott's Musical repetoire of musical roles include Cecco in Peter Pan (1995), the herald in Cinderella (1996) , and Professor Harold Hill in the Music Man (1997). He and his brothers David and Michael have worked with a number of renowned artists. Scotty K. is currently a member of the University Chorale, and a pianist for the University of Dayton Jazz Combo E. He studies piano with Dr. Eric Street.
Scott is driven by performance. He takes every opportunity to entertain others. He is involved with the Kilwein Family Tree-O, a rock band for the entire family. Scott plays the keyboard and sings; Michael Kilwein tickles the keyboard and sings, also; Dave Kilwein sings from behind the drumset, on which he uncontrollably pounds the back-beat. The three Kilwein boys are joined by a horn section made up of some of the best players out there: Dana Howell (trumpet/ Sax), Pete Howell (Trombone), and Sam Giga (Tenor sax) blow away any competition.
