Viktoria is originally from Chicago, IL. She attended Maine West High School in Des Plaines, IL. There she participated in many musical activities and ensembles, both vocal and instrumental. She was especially proud to serve as Treasurer of the Concert Choir for one year, and as Drum Major of the Marching Band for two years. Her senior year, Viktoria received the John Phillip Sousa Band Award, the National High School Choral Award, and the 1997 Maine West Music Departmental Award.
Viktoria's main area of performance at UD is voice. She has been involved in such vocal ensembles as the University Chorale, Opera Workshop, Celebration Vocal Transit and chamber ensembles. She has also remained active in her oboe playing, participating in the Symphonic Wind Ensemble and a woodwind quintet. Viktoria is also a very active member of Sigma Alpha Iota, the women's professional music fraternity, of which she is currently the Vice President of Ritual. Viktoria's other UD activities include Music Therapy Club and College Democrats, of which she is the secretary.
Viktoria's plans for the summer of 1999 include a tour of England, Scotland and France with the University Chorale, and an internship in the Folkways Recording office at the Smithsonian Institution Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage in Washington, DC.
