Hello! My name is Carrie Harrigan. I am from New Carlisle, Ohio where I attended Northwestern High School. During high school I attended Ohio Weselyan University's Honors band for one year, Wright State University's Honors band for two years, and my senior year I played in Wittenberg Univesity's Symphonic Band and in the Springfield Youth Symphony. I am currently a junior at UD with a double major in music and psychology. I study flute at UD with Prof. Diane Gilley.

I participate in several musical activities at UD, including the Symphonic Wind Ensemble, marching band, and flute quartet. I am also the VP of Ritual in Sigma Alpha Iota. During the school year and continuing through the summer, I teach flute lessons to younger students, and last summer I ran the flute/piccolo sectionals at my high school's band camp. The flute quartet of which I am a member just made an audition tape for the coming OMEA convention, and one of the pieces we played was a scherzo by Mendelssohn.

My junior recital is scheduled for March 7,1998. I am very excited, and I have already made a few selections: Sonate in A-moll for flute alone by C.P.E. Bach, Three Romances by Schumann, Poem by Griffes, Duo for Flute and Clarinet (the clarinet part to be played on soprano sax) by Robert Muczynski, Diexieme by Phillipe Gaubert, and a piccolo piece (possibly with percussion).

Listen to Carrie Harrigan perform Selection not yet chosen (?? sec., ??K .au) on (date to be determined) in (site to be determined).
