Elizabeth Bounds graduated from the UD Music Department in 1996 with a double major in Music Therapy and Performance and a minor in Psychology. She graduated magna cum laude and completed the Honors Program. Her honors thesis, entitled "Music and Mood: A Comparison of Gender Responses" was accepted for presentation at the Research Poster Session of the 1996 NAMT National Conference, for which she received the 1996 E. Thayer Gaston Writing Award.
Elizabeth completed her clinical training internship at Marlboro Psychiatric Hospital, Marlboro, NJ, and she is currently employed as a music therapist at the Columbus Music Therapy Center. Elizabeth married Jeremy LaTorre (MUE '96) on June 21, 1997 at the UD Chapel.
