Greetings and welcome to my alumni page here at the University of Dayton Department of Music! Even though it's been a few years since I graduated, I'm excited to see that this site is still up and running, and that they still have a few spare megabytes for me and my info.
In a nutshell: I received my Bachelors degree in Music Education from UD in 1999, and then attended Florida State University where I received my MA in Arts Administration in 2001. After leaving Tallahassee I moved back up to Ohio and was fortunate enough to land a job at the Ohio Arts Council in Columbus, where I work today. I serve as the Community Arts Coordinator with the OAC, which means that I oversee the multidisciplinary program, assist potential grantees with proposals, travel around the state to advise up-and-coming arts centers and councils, and generally spend the taxpayers' money whenever I get a chance (ha!). I love it here, it's so good to be back in Ohio.
If you'd like, you can visit the OAC homepage at www.oac.state.oh.us and learn about the many funding opportunities that can be found there. You can also visit my current homepage (not very exciting I'm afraid) at home.columbus.rr.com/dankatona, which I'll try to keep updated if I can.
If you'd like to learn about my UD experience or my time since, or if you're an Old Fogey Alumni like me looking up the old gang, give me a call or drop me an e-mail -- I'd love to hear from you.
