I graduated from UD in 1979 (has it really been that many years?!) and then moved on to Texas. I received my MME (Jazz Pedagagy) from North Texas State University in 1981. I finally finished the DMA (Trumpet Performance) in 1991 from the University of North Texas (the school changed names). I taught for two years at St. Francis Xavier University (in Antigonish, Nova Scotia) from 1984-86. In 1986, I procured my current position here at Georgia Southern University (Statesboro, GA). I am teaching trumpet and handling the jazz program. Additionally, I maintain a fairly busy performing schedule in the Savannah/Hilton Head Island area. It's hard to believe we've been here almost 11 years!

On the personal side, I met my wife Alice while we were both graduate student trumpet players at North Texas. We were married in 1982 and we now have three children: Audrey (11), Laura (8), and Melanie (6). Needless to say, life is busy!
