Other Requirements

 

_____        Apply and be accepted to E-11 program during 1st year.

_____        Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 in music courses, teacher education courses, and overall.

_____        Successful completion of Praxis I during first year.

_____        Successful completion of Praxis II during senior year.

_____        Successful completion of at least a half recital prior to student teaching.

 

****         Qualified students may waive MUS 195 and go directly into MUS 295.

*****       Piano majors should substitute guitar for four of the six hours and take MUS 345                                          (Choral Conducting) with the two remaining hours.  You may take a total of six

                   hours by utilizing the one or two credit per semester option.
