BACHELOR OF ARTS WITH A MAJOR IN MUSIC

Degree Coordinator:

WHAT IS A BACHELOR OF ARTS IN MUSIC?
The Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in music frames the study of music history, theory, and performance within the context of a liberal arts degree. There are many career opportunities for music graduates, and many opportunities for studying music in combination with other subjects. The B.A. degree thus allows students to complete double majors--music and another subject-- relatively easily; and is the most versatile undergraduate music degree for students who want to continue studies at the graduate level, either in music or in another subject.

Listed below are the required courses for a major in music.
