Phillip Farris is currently an Artist in Residence at the University of Dayton, where he teaches class piano, studio piano, and performs a variety of accompanying duties. He holds degrees from University of Washington (Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Arts) and the College Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati (Master of Music). He studied with Bela Siki, Robert Goldsand, and Frank Weinstock.

Farris is known throughout the midwest as a chamber musician and accompanist. He has been heard in recital with such artists as Gail Williams, Steven Tannebaum, Lowell Greer, and Stanford Olsen.
