Living & Learning at the
University of Dayton

The University of Dayton Department of Music offers a wide range of baccalaureate programs as well as a master's degree in education with a music concentration. Undergraduate majors are available in music education, music therapy, performance, music, and composition. A certificate in church music is also available. Students interested in music technology also have a wide range of experiences available including music production and recording classes.

The department maintains a vital connection with the Dayton Philharmonic and other professional groups in the city.

The Music Department is a fully accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Music. The Music Therapy Degree is approved by the American Music Therapy Association. The Music Education degree is certified by the State of Ohio.
