SIGMA ALPHA IOTA


Sigma Alpha Iota is a professional fraternity for women in music. The University of Dayton chapter accepts women music majors and non-music majors who meet academic and musical requirements.

The fraternity meets once a week, and it organizes music and service-related activities such as a formal dance (in conjunction with Wright State University and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia); ushering for departmental concerts and recitals in Sears Recital Hall and Boll Theatre; Christmas caroling at area nursing homes; leading a sing-a-long at Hospice Dayton; and hosting audition-day open houses.

Our fraternity is dedicated to furthering an awareness of music on campus and in the community, as well as providing opportunities for musical growth and performance.
