          Hi Everyone!  My name is Mandy Higgins, and I am a freshman Music Therapy Major  here at the University of Dayton.   I am from Nashville, Tennessee, and I am really enjoying my first year away from home in Dayton!  I graduated last year from Father Ryan Catholic High School in Nashville at the top of my class.  I've loved music for as long as I can remember...I think I was singing before I could talk...and I'm really looking forward to my four years learning about Music Therapy.  I've always liked to be very involved in school and extracurricular activities.  In high school, I was a held leadership positions in the marching band and concert band, along with lots of other bands and choral groups and lots of non-music related clubs.  My senior year, I even had the opportunity to perform in the Tennessee mid-state band and  all-state choir. 

          I'm trying to stay really involved here at Dayton too.  I am currently studying French horn with  Dr. Richard Chenowith.  I perform with the Symphonic Wind Ensemble, the UD Horn Choir, and the UD Horn Quartet.  I am also a member of the Honors Program, the Music Therapy Club, Big Brother's Big Sisters, and I've really had fun helping out with Christmas on Campus.  Next semester, I'm going to be a member of the cast for Jesus Christ Superstar, and I also hope to get into some more vocal groups.  Well, I think that's me in a nutshell right now.  Feel free to e-mail or even call, me if you have any questions.  Thanks for stopping by, and I'd love to hear from you:)
