Jessica Murrell is currently a freshman music therapy major at the University of Dayton.  She attended Turpin High School in Cincinnati, Ohio.  During her high school career she was involved in the Spartan Marching Band, Orchestra, Key Club, Student Council, and National Honor Society.  Jessica is currently involved in the U.D. Scholars program, Pride of Dayton Marching Band, Concert Band, Music Therapy Club, Hands In Harmony, and Campus Crusade.  Jessica's primary instrument is flute.  She studied flute with Janet Weaver before she came to U. D., and she is currently studying with Ms. Diane Gilley.

Jessica is very excited about music therapy and its value as an alternative medicine.  She attended the national music therapy conference in Pasadena, California this fall.  After attending many seminars she decided that she would like to work with emotionally disturbed adolescents.
