A first year voice student at The University of Dayton, I have a
diverse musical background. I graduated from Medina High School
in Medina Ohio and remember it fondly as the place where I began to
develop my musical talents. I sang soprano in the top choir at
Medina for three years, played flute and piccolo in band all four
years, playing in the top band of three for the last three years,
played oboe in symphonic orchestra for two years, sang in show-choir
for a year and took fundament music theory my senior year. I
have also sang in several talent shows in school and church and
performed in "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat"
at Weathervane Community Theater in Akron, Ohio. I draw from all
of my past experiences now as I am beginning my collegiate work here
in Dayton. I am currently singing Alto in Chorale and have
recently made the musical "Jesus Christ Superstar" where I
will be singing Soprano as a Apostle's wife and as a soloist. My
hard work and dedication coupled with my love of music will surely get
me through the next four years and help me make the best choice of
what exactly to do with my passion. Currently I am considering
switching majors to music education, but I am not sure. Either
way, my strong academics (I had a 3.99 in high school) will get me
through all the side work that comes with being a music major. I
look forward to expanding my horizons and hope for the best for myself
and my fellow music majors as we make our way through college.
