At  the end of every semester, cadets compete in the cadet of the semester competition.  This includes their BRM score from our FTX at Camp Atterbury, their record APFT score, their academics and attendance, as well as their board examination.  The board consists of questions about physical fitness, first aid, land navigation, ROTC history, as well as questions about the Constitution and a uniform inspection.

This semester’s winner was Jacob Bradford.

Jacob was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho where he lived until he was eleven.  He then moved to Boulder, Colorado where he lived for four years.  During his freshman year of high school he moved to Centerville, Ohio and completed high school there.  While in high school Jacob was an active member of the football team, swim team, dive team, and the track team.  During this time Jacob became interested in the military, which prompted his decision to join ROTC.  He graduated with honors in 2006 from Centerville High School and continued his education at the University of Dayton.

Jacob is currently studying chemical engineering and is an active member Army ROTC and the swim club on campus.  Jacob hopes to attend medical school upon graduating from UD.
