My name is Tim
Wall and I am a sophomore here at Dayton and working on
receiving a degree in Exercise Science. My grandparents, aunts,
uncles and siblings have all found their way, like myself, to
University of Dayton and enjoyed their four years here, all
claiming they were their best years ever. Dayton offers a great
environment for, not only academics, but social life as well.
While studying for classes I also have plenty of time to enjoy
other activities such as working out, playing sports/games and
enjoying the social life that UD has to offer. Most of all I
spend my time participating in Army ROTC here at Dayton.
Army ROTC has
offered me so many experiences to add to my college life that I
would never have experienced as an average student. Climbing
the rock wall, shooting an M16 and learning military tactics are
all included in what is taught during the exciting Military
Science class in which ROTC students participate. While in
ROTC, I have enjoyed things such as competing in Ranger
Challenge which is a team competition offered to cadets
involving competition in an arrangement of events against other
schools in the area. Along with ROTC, I am in Pershing Rifles
which is the military fraternity here at Dayton where we enjoy
community service and learning the art of drill and ceremony.
Although ROTC takes up some of my time, it does not take up all
of it and I still am able to enjoy other activities. I have
learned how to manage my time and have met some of my best
friends here at school through ROTC. ROTC offers an opportunity
to excel while attending school and provides a career upon
graduation.
