TERM: Normally, 3-year appointment, except
students, who are appointed for one-year terms.
PURPOSE: Advise the
Provost regarding the supervision and improvement of the University-wide Honors
Program.
MEETINGS: At the call of the chairperson, the Director of the
Honors Program. Usually
four to six per academic year (
MEMBERSHIP COMPOSITION: No specific guidelines. Historically, the Committee has had faculty
representation from each of the undergraduate academic divisions and student representation consisting of
Honor students in the first-year, sophomore, junior, and senior classes (with
two representatives from each class).
The Director of the Honors Program serves as chairperson.
MEMBERS DEPARTMENT TERM
This
committee will be reformulated as part of the restructuring of the University
Honors and Scholars Programs.
