TERM:          Normally, 3-year appointment, except students, who are appointed for one-year terms. 

 

PURPOSE: Advise the Provost regarding the supervision and improvement of the University-wide Honors Program.

 

MEETINGS: At the call of the chairperson, the Director of the Honors Program.  Usually four to six per academic year (two to three per term).

 

MEMBERSHIP COMPOSITION: No specific guidelines.  Historically, the Committee has had faculty representation from each of the undergraduate academic                 divisions and student representation consisting of Honor students in the first-year, sophomore, junior, and senior classes (with two representatives from each class).  The Director of the Honors Program serves as chairperson.
