TERM:         Normally three years.

 

PURPOSE: This Council concerns itself with University-wide policy on graduate work.  Appointment letters are signed by the President; it is advisory to the Vice President for Graduate Studies & Research and Dean of the Graduate School.                     

 

MEETINGS:  At the call of the chairperson.

 

MEMBERSHIP COMPOSITION: Chair (Associate Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research), graduate faculty (one from each school;  one from Humanities, one from Physical and Life Sciences and one from Social Sciences within the College), one member from UDRI Professional Staff (recommended by Associate Vice President for Research and Director, UDRI), one member of Library faculty (recommended by Dean of Libraries and Information Services), and two graduate students selected by the Graduate Council.
