1.      ACTION: Approved Minutes of 4/10/06

2.      DISCUSSION: Drew Murray and Amber Rose presented the status of the assessment of the 2006 Stander and planning for 2007. Several sources of information are being tapped and the planning committee is scheduled to meet with several other groups is gain additional information. By all accounts thus far, the event seems to have been successful. Questions were raised about the date of the event, keynote speaker, role of graduate classes/students, and the Honor’s convocation.

3.      DISCUSSION: The APCAS recommends (1) listing and reading of “Latin Honors” for early marchers, and (2) adding to the Graduation Program a disclaimer similar to: “The information in this graduation program does not reflect a student’s final transcript. An official diploma with appropriate honors will be awarded upon completion of all degree requirements and fulfillment of financial obligations.”

4.      DISCUSSION: Following the “sense of the Senate” reports on P&T and faculty evaluation, the APCAS encourages some process to take place Fall 2006 which encourages wide faculty engagement RE the reports presented to the Senate. Perhaps some analysis of the overlaps between and among the reports would be helpful prior to the faculty discussions.
