Action:

1. Notion was made and seconded to accept the math competencies as edited by Hontz/Herrelko.

Discussion ensued clarifying the edit. J. Dunne had a number of edits. It was agreed that Dunn, Pedrotti,and Weaver would meet with Dr. Herrelko and negotiation changes. Weaver to set up meeting. It was further agreed that pending acceptance of the edits. The math competencies are approved.

2. Implementation Recommendations: The committee recommended two methods of assessment.

a. Course work passed with a grade of C in required unit math courses

OR

b. option to take an exemption exam.

Notes: The above information will be reviewed (Weaver) with the Math Department Chairperson and concerns brought back to the committee.

3. New Business: New materials were passed out by Dr. Palermo.
