State Energy Data System (SEDS) - The State Energy System (formerly the State Energy Data Report) offers over 40 energy and chemical variables for every state for the years 1960-2005.  Data can be downloaded in a variety of popular formats as well.

Crime and Justice Data Online - The Bureau of Justice Statistics offers a variety of state-level time-series data on criminal activity and law enforcement management.

Bureau of Economic Analysis Data - The Bureau of Economic Analysis maintains extensive databases relating to state-level economic data, as well as economic BEA Regional Accounts Data (BEARFACTS) for every state, county and metropolitan area.

The Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies Datasets - The Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies contains numerous datasets containing information on race and gender.  State-level data can be downloaded by choosing the "Databank" and selecting "state level data". 

State Health Facts - The Kaiser Family Foundation's State Health Facts database contains detailed health-related information for all 50 states.  Raw data can be found and downloaded by clicking the "Resources" tab on the main webpage.

National Institute on Money in State Politics - National Institute on Money in State Politics maintains this database that makes available campaign contributions data by state, sector and individual.

U.S. Census Bureau Statistical Abstract - On-line version of the Statistical Abstract of the United States. Lots of state-level data tables that can be downloaded as .pdf files.

FedStats Online Gateway - FedStats is the "gateway to statistics from over 100 U.S. Federal agencies".

National Network of State Polls (NNSP) - National Network of State Polls (NNSP). Organization keeps a data archive of state surveys, and provides access to a wide variety of polling data done in the states.

Odum Institute for Research in Social Science/Harris Data Archive - Odum Institute for Research in Social Science/Harris Data Archive. National repository for Harris national poll data. Includes the North Carolina Data Center and has strong links to the NNSP.

Census State Data Centers - Census State Data Centers. Comprehensive list of links to state data centers, most of which make available state specific census data.

Dismal Scientist Data Center - Dismal Scientist data center. Has a broad selection of current state-level socio-economics data on a variety of sources.
