Dr. Hunt has authored/edited twenty-one books since the reception of his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1971, eleven coming since he joined the UD faculty in 1996. A historian of education, Dr. Hunt has special expertise in religion and education, particularly dealing with Catholic schools, and currently serves as a Fellow in UD's Center for Catholic Education. Now on a part-time contract, he continues to teach and write. He served as co-editor of Catholic Education: A Journal of Inquiry and Practice, the only refereed journal on Catholic schools in the nation, from 1998 until July of 2008.
