Do you think that relations between racial minorities and whites will always be a problem or that a solution will eventually be worked out?

It is often reported that in 2050 we will be a nation of minorities; that is no one group being in the numerical majority. When that point is reach how likely is it that whites will no longer hold the majority of the wealth and power?

How do you think white people feel about racial minorities?

How do you think racial minorities feel about white people?

It is generally accepted that whites and minorities live in two different Americas. Who do you think is more responsible for poor status of race relations?

On the whole, do you think most white people want to see minorities get a better break, or do they want to keep minorities down or don't you think they care either way?

Governments are considered to never die. Debts and responsibilities and benefits to a government at a certain time, is passed on to succeeding generations. For instance, the US government is still obligated to honor treaties signed by previous administration. Furthermore, taxpayers are frequently responsible for debts incurred by previous generations. For instances, taxpayers who were children during World War II were responsible for reparations paid to Japanese Americans for internment.

  • Should the government apologize  for slavery?
  • Should the government provide reparations in the form of compensation, i.e. money to the descendants of slaves?
  • Should the government provide reparation in the form of equity that is fixing the traceable harm to the descendants of slaves?
By law, corporations are considered to be a person and have rights and responsibilities of a person. There are corporations doing business today, that financially benefited from slavery. For instance, Atena insured the lives of slaves.
  • Should corporations who benefited from slavery apologize ?
  • Should corporations who benefited from slavery pay reparations?
  • Should corporations who benefited from slavery establish scholarship funds for descendants of slaves?

A new reality show is looking for contestants willing to undergo a radical change which will cause the contestants to take on the external racial features of a racial group different then the one they currently identify with.

After the change you will appear to everyone, including your family and friends to be a easily identifiable member of the racial group.  Because the process is irreversible, the show is willing to pay every contestant.

Assume that this offer is made to you at age 18 and that you will live to age 78 (60 years) and that the rest of your life, economically, you will be an average member of the racial group.

Which racial group would you be the least willing to join? Remember for the next 60 years, you will have the burden, benefits, problems and privileges of the group.

Which racial group would you be the most willing to join? Remember for the next 60 years, you will have the burden, benefits, problems and privileges of the group.

How much would you have to be paid per year to be an average: (Note: the amount should compensate you for the burdens and problems of being a member of the group; Consequently, the more burdens and problems associated with the group, the more you should ask to be paid. If you believe that some groups have similar burdens and problems than the amount to be paid should be similar. If you believe that some groups have fewer burdens and problems than the amount to be paid should be less.)
  • African or Black American
  • Arab or Middle Eastern American
  • Asian American or Pacific Islander
  • European or White American
  • Hispanic or Latino(a) American
  • Indian or Native American
